Black Bottom Cups

  1. Combine in mixing bowl, cream cheese, egg 1/3 cup sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt, beat well.
  2. Stir in chocolate pieces, set aside. Sift flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa, soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt into mixing bowl, combine water, cooking oil, vinegar and vanilla.
  3. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Fill muffin cups 1/3 full with chocolate batter.
  5. Top each with heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
