Deviled Scrod

  1. Wipe scrod with damp cloth and cut into 4 portions.
  2. Combine green pepper, onion, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco and lemon juice.
  3. Melt butter or oleo; stir in bread crumbs.
  4. Add to vegetable mixture; mix well.
  5. Season scrod to your taste; dot with additional butter or oleo.
  6. Place on foil-lined broiler rack with surface about 4-inches below source of heat.
  7. Broil 5 minutes. Remove from broiler.
  8. Turn scrod; top with bread crumb mixture. Return to broiler for 5 to 7 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  10. Broil for 1 minute.
