Apple Pomegranate Galette
- 1 thawed puff pastry sheet
- flour to dust
- 2 cups of slivered apple slices
- juice of one lemon
- 2 1/2 tbsp of brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of pomegranate seeds
- 2 tbsp of milk
- Preheat the oven to 375u0b0F.
- Mix the lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon together and coat all over the slivered apple slices. Let sit for 15 minutes.
- Dust your working space with some flour and roll out the puff pastry sheet until half the original thickness.
- Lay your sliced apples in a spiralled pattern, making sure to leave an an inch and a half space all around the puff pastry sheet.
- Wrap the uncovered puff pastry over the slivered apple slices. Top with pomegranate the seeds and any excess lemon juice-brown sugar-cinnamon mixture.
- Lightly brush the milk over and sprinkle some brown sugar on the surrounding puff pastry.
- Place in the oven on the middle shelf and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
