Darryl'S Buttermilk Biscuits
- 2 Tbsp. butter (per person)
- 3 Tbsp. Alaga syrup (per person)
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar (granulated)
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. unsalted butter
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 2/3 c. mashed sweet potatoes
- 1/2 c. pecans, finely chopped (optional)
- 3 boxes Jiffy corn muffin mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. liquid cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. frozen blueberries or 2 small cans
- Lightly grease muffin pans with Crisco using your fingers. (Dorian liked using the large Texas-style muffin pans his grandmother bought him because they make bigger size muffins.) Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
