Croatian Style Stuffed Peppers With A Twist

  1. Cook the rice and leave it aside to cool. Cut the onion and garlic cloves, heat the skillet over medium, pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil. When the oil is hot, add onion and garlic. Stir occasionally and when they turn golden/brown, add beef, tbsp of chilli powder, 1/2 tbsp of cumin, salt and pepper. If you need, add a litle bit of water (1 dcl) for meat to soften faster.
  2. When the meat is half cooked, add rice, beans, tomato sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of hot sauce. I put just a little bit cause I don't like it very very spicy, but you can put more if u like it Lower the heat, add 1 dcl water, mix everything and let it simmer for 10 min. Preheat the oven at 200u0b0C.
  3. Meanwhile, take out the insides of peppers and wash them. I like to sprinkle it with salt and pepper just to taste before I put them in the oven. Place them into brass and sprinkle with olive oil.
  4. When the meat is done, fill the peppers and put them into oven for 15-20 min. I usually put grated cheese on top as well, it tastes great when is baked and the melted cheese all over the peppers is just mmm! :)
