Rainbow Beef
- 2/3 pound beef lean, cut into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon Flora Cuisine
- 9/16 pound medium egg noodles
- 1 red pepper deseeded and cut into strips
- 6 baby corn chopped
- 7/8 cup mangetout
- 3 spring onions sliced diagonally
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger grated
- 4 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- marinade :
- 6 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons reduced salt soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon runny honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Put the marinade ingredients in a shallow dish and mix together. Add the beef strips and coat in marinade. Cover and set aside for 1 hour.
- Heat the Flora Cuisine in a wok or frying pan. Remove the beef strips from the marinade and carefully place in the wok/frying pan.
- Fry the beef strips on a high heat for 2 minutes stirring continuously or until browned all over. Remove the beef and set aside.
- Bring a saucepan of water to the boil. Add the noodles, stirring to separate and then cook according to the packet instructions until tender.
- If the wok/frying pan looks a little dry, add a drop more Flora Cuisine, then add the red pepper, baby corn, mangetout and spring onions. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the garlic, ginger, beef and the leftover marinade and stir-fry for 1 minute. Pour in the orange juice, and cook, stirring, for another minute.
- Drain the noodles in a colander and turn out into a serving dish. Spoon the vegetables and beef stir-fry over the noodles and serve straight away.
