Honey Wings
- 24 chicken wings
- 8 cups crisco for frying
- 1 1/4 cups ketchup
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup honey or duck sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- In a saucepan, stir together all ingredients for sauce. Simmer gently 10 minutes. In a deep fryer or large heavy bottom pan, heat Crisco to 350 degrees.
- Prepare batter by beating together milk, egg, soy sauce, and chicken bouillon. In separate bowl, combine seasonings and flour well.
- Dip wings one at a time into seasoned flour, then into liquid mixture, then again into flour.
- Fry in hot oil 10-12 min. Dip in sauce and serve with sauce dish in center of chicken wings arranged in a circle on a decorative platter.
