Cheesy Hot Bean Dip

  1. In a medium skillet, cook celery, onion and minced garlic in oil over medium heat until celery and onion are tender, but not brown.
  2. Stir in the refried beans, taco sauce, green chili peppers and chili powder.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Gradually add small amounts of the shredded cheese to the refried beans, stirring occasionally, over low heat until the cheese is melted.
  5. Transfer the hot cheese-bean mixture to a fondue pot or chafing dish.
  6. Keep mixture warm.
