Cheesy Grits Casserole

  1. Crumble the sausage into a frying pan and cook over medium heat until no longer pink and it is a little crispy; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan bring water, salt & Johnny's to a boil.
  3. Slowly stir in the grits then reduce heat and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Remove from heat and temper your eggs with a small amount of the grits, return all to the saucepan.
  5. Stir in the sausage, 1 c. of cheese, milk, butter, and then stir until all of the butter is melted.
  6. Transfer to greased 13x9 baking dish, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until the
