Honey Bunches French Toast & Strawberry Bellini
- 1 loaf challah bread sliced into 1" thick slices
- 3/4 cup low fat milk
- 1/2 cup light cream
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal
- butter
- Place the cereal in a zip up bag and roll over it several times with a rolling pin to break down the pieces a bit, it will stick better to the bread. Pour out into a dish
- In a bowl whisk together the milk, cream, eggs and vanilla.
- Heat a large pan over medium low heat.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture then press each side into the crushed cereal until well coated.
- Add a tab of butter to the pan and a few slices of the french toast. Brown to a light golden brown on each side. You can place the finished sliced on a parchment lined baking sheet and keep
- warm in a 250 degree oven while you cook the rest.
- Serve along with some fresh berries and warm maple syrup.
