Pepperoni Calzones

  1. Dissolve yeast in water in 3 quart bowl.
  2. Stir in sugar, oil, salt and 1 cup flour.
  3. Beat until smooth.
  4. Add in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.
  5. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface.
  6. Knead about 5 minutes.
  7. Place in greased bowl, turn, cover and let rise in warm place until almost doubled. Punch down and divide in half.
  8. Put in 15 x 9-inch pan.
  9. Spread sauce to within 1/2 inch of edge.
  10. Top with pepperoni and cheese. Carefully fold over, pinching edges.
  11. Place on greased cookie sheet; let stand 15 minutes.
  12. Brush with egg.
  13. Bake at 375u0b0 for 25 minutes.
  14. Slice diagonally.
