Gms Rueben Sandwich
- 2 slices of marble rye
- 3 slices of swiss cheese
- 1/2-1 pound of medium sliced corn beef ( I used 1 pound for this sandwich )
- 4 oz of sourkraut
- 2 Tbl. 1000 island dressing
- 2 Tbl. butter
- Heat corn beef on flattop with some of the butter.
- On other side of of flattop heat the bread with a little more butter.
- Heat the sourkraut in a pile briefly then pile the corn beef and put the sourkraut on top of it. top this mountain of goodness with the swiss cheese.Pour a small amount of water near the bottom of the pile and cover the goodness with a lid from a large pot (so the steam can melt the cheese.
- Spread the 1000 island on the 2 slices of rye bread.
- Add the meat and cheese mountain onto 1 of the bread slices then top with the other slice.
- Put it on a plate cut in 2 and ENJOY!
