Edible Glitter Little Girl'S Birthday

  1. Follow the cake mix directions to bake the cake and let the cake cool to room temperature once it has finished baking
  2. Take the cake and break it into small crumbly pieces. Add 6-8 oz of frosting to the cake crumbs and stir with a large spoon. The cake crumbs should have a gooey consistency once the frosting is added
  3. 3.take the cake-frosting mixture and mold into round shapes with your hands. We recommend making them into approximately golf ball size pieces. Then insert the cake pop stick and set aside. Once all the cake-frosting mixture has been used, place cake pops in the refrigerator to chill while you make the edible glitter
  4. Set your oven to 350u0b0
  5. Pour the white granulated sugar into a bowl and add 1 drop of Chefmaster(R) liqua-gel(R) food color and mix well with a whisk or large spoon. The sugar may clump up as the food color is added, be sure to mix thoroughly so the clumps separate and the color is dispersed. Add more color drops until desired share is reached. For the cake pop images shown we used Chefmaster(R) Violet liqua-gel
  6. Pour colored sugar onto sheet of aluminum foil and spread sugar around so it will bake evenly
  7. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and use a fork to spread the sugar out further to cool. If edges of sugar have melted try to break up these pieces after the sugar has cooled
  8. Take cake pops out of fridge and frost with remaining buttercream frosting. After each cake pop moderately sprinkle the edible glitter onto the frosting and cover the cake pop
  9. Serve at your little girl's birthday party and be sure to enjoy one yourself!
