Mama'S Meatloaf
- 1 1/2 pounds ground round
- 1/2 cup tomato juice
- 1 cup oats uncooked, quick or old-fashioned
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1/3 cup sauce Dales steak seasoning
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons gluten Spike's, Free seasoning salt
- 3/4 cup diced tomatoes drained petite
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce Stubb's Original
- 1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Saute onion and garlic in hot oil in a small skillet over medium heat 5 minutes or until tender.
- Whisk together egg, steak sauce, garlic powder, seasoned salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- .Add ground beef. tomatoes, tomato juice, and cooking oats to bowl; combine with sauteed onion and garlic using hands.
- Shape mixture into a 9- x 5-inch loaf or four mini loaves; place on a lightly greased rack in an aluminum foil-lined broiler pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until no longer pink in center. Drain excess grease. (If freezing, allow to cool and place in freezer. Add barbecue sauce after thawing and reheating at 350 for 15-20 minutes.)
- Place barbecue sauce in a small bowl. Cover and microwave at HIGH 30 seconds or until warm. Spread barbecue sauce evenly on top of meatloaf.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
