Mario Batali'S South East Asian Style Crab Cakes
- 1/2 cup dressing Best Foods(R) Mayonnaise , with Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup dressing Best Foods(R) Mayonnaise , with Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon chinese mustard spicy
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 4 green onions finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 2 cups panko bread crumbs divided
- 1 pound lump crabmeat jumbo , picked over
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Make Spicy Sauce: Stir together the mayonnaise, soy sauce, honey, sesame seeds and ground red pepper and set aside covered in the fridge.
- Make Crab Cakes: In a large bowl whisk together the egg, mayonnaise, and mustard, then stir in cilantro, green onions, ginger, and 3/4 cup panko. Stir in crabmeat and chill, covered, 1 hour.
- Divide mixture into 8 and form into 1-inch-thick pucks. Spread remaining panko in a shallow dish and carefully press each puck into the crumbs to coat evenly, but very minimally. Cover and place in the fridge at least 20 minutes or up to 4 hours.
