Teriyaki Sandwiches
- 2 pounds chuck steak boneless
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 4 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 8 French rolls split
- 1 cup butter melted
- 8 pineapple rings
- green onions Chopped
- Cut steak into thin bite-size slices. In crockpot, combine soy sauce, sugar, ginger and garlic. Add steak. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours. Remove meat with slotted spoon; set aside.
- Carefully pour liquid into a 2-cup measuring cup; skim fat. Add water to liquid to measure 1 1/2 cups. Pour into saucepan. Combine cornstarch and water till smooth; add to pan. Cook and stir till thick and bubbly, about 2 minutes. Add meat to pan and heat through.
- Brush rolls with butter and broil till browned slightly. Fill with meat, pineapple and green onions.
