Where'S The Beef?
- 1 round loaf bread (Hawaiian bread is good)
- 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese
- 2 c. sour cream
- 1 jar (5 oz.) dried beef, chopped fine
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion
- 3 Tbsp. chopped bell pepper
- Worcestershire sauce
- Louisiana hot sauce
- Tabasco sauce
- cayenne
- Cut and remove top of bread loaf and hollow out the bread, leaving about 1-inch thick sides, reserving the top to be used as a lid. Mix all other ingredients together, seasoning with Worcestershire, Louisiana hot sauce, Tabasco and cayenne to taste.
- Put the filling ingredients inside bread.
- Top with the bread lid.
- Wrap the loaf in foil and bake at 300u0b0 on a cookie sheet for 1 1/2 hours.
- Remove from oven.
- Remove foil.
- Take off top of loaf.
- Serve on platter. Surround with Fritos or crackers.
- Serves 10 to 12.
- Round bread keeps filling warm for quite awhile.
