Asian Cornish Hens

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Wash hens and pat dry.
  3. Saute margarine and mushrooms.
  4. Add chicken broth and rice.
  5. Boil and cover; reduce heat and cook 20 minutes.
  6. Stuff hens with rice mixture.
  7. Place breast side up.
  8. Brush with margarine.
  9. Bake 1 - 1/2 hours, brushing with margarine every 20 minutes.
  10. The last 15 minutes, in saucepan, put sugar, soy sauce, ginger and cornstarch.
  11. Bring to a boil.
  12. Brush hens with mixture and put in oven for 20 minutes longer.
