Peanut Butter And Jelly Oat Bars
- Crisco Butter Flavor No-Stick Cooking Spray
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening
- 1/2 cup Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups Pillsbury BEST All Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 cup Smucker's Strawberry Preserves
- HEAT oven to 350u0b0F. Coat 13 x 9-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.
- COMBINE brown sugar, shortening, peanut butter and egg in large bowl. Beat with mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- STIR flour, salt and baking soda in medium bowl until blended. Gradually blend into creamed mixture. Beat in oats.
- DIVIDE dough in half. Press one half into bottom of prepared pan to form a crust. Spoon preserves over crust, spreading evenly. Crumble remaining dough over preserves to cover evenly.
- BAKE 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on wire rack. Cut into bars.
