Meatballs With Mushrooms
- 1 3/4 pounds beef chopped
- 3 1/2 ounces chorizo
- 1/2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- bread crumbs
- 1 eggs
- salt
- chili pepper
- nutmeg
- 1 sprig parsley
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 onions
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons tomato pulp
- 2 tablespoons sauce English
- 2 tablespoons white wine
- 5/8 cup water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Put the chopped onion and the garlic in the chopper. Remove the skin to the chorizo and cut into pieces into the chopper.
- Add the chopped meat in a bowl. Add chopped parsley.
- Break the egg into the bowl.
- Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Gradually add breadcrumbs and continue stirring until the meat begins to peel off the bowl.
- When the meat does not stick to your hands, make balls, pass through breadcrumbs and reserve.
- Put a pot on the heat and pour the olive oil. Add chopped onion and cook over low heat until translucent. Add the tomato pulp and bay leaf, stirring occasionally. Add the English sauce, the mushrooms and let it cook a little more. Deglaze with wine. When it starts boiling again, carefully add the meatballs and lower the temperature. When the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the pan. Dilute the flour in a little water and pour in the pan (with a strainer if you have lumps) and stir to thicken the sauce. Put the meatballs back and serve with spaghetti and a green salad.
