My Homemade Chili
- 2 lb. raw ground beef
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 large onion
- 1 large green pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 28 oz. can chopped, peeled tomatoes
- 28 oz. can tomato puree
- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. stewing beef, cubed
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 dash cinnamon and cumin
- 1 dash A. 1. sauce and allspice
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper seed
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 3 whole bay leaves
- 2 cans Luck's pinto beans
- Mix together ground beef and tomato sauce.
- Work thoroughly with hands.
- Chop onion, pepper and garlic.
- Stir all this together in large chili pot and brown over medium heat.
- Add tomatoes and puree.
