California Orange Chicken

  1. Wash chicken; pat dry.
  2. Cut up chicken into serving pieces. Arrange chicken pieces in a baking dish with lid.
  3. Add garlic and dot with butter.
  4. Sprinkle with soy sauce and black pepper. Cover dish with lid.
  5. Bake at 350u0b0 for about 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven.
  7. Pour orange juice over chicken and add orange rind. Pour juice from pan over chicken.
  8. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Continue baking another 20 minutes until juices run when thigh flesh is pricked.
  9. Garnish as desired.
