Braised Chicken Thigh 卤鸡腿
- 2 1/4 pounds chicken thigh or whole chicken, chop to pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 tablespoon ginger juice
- 1/2 tablespoon cooking wine Hua Tiao Chiew
- 3 tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 1/3 tablespoons ginger shredded
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon corn flour + 2 tbsp water as thickening
- Heat up 3 tbsp sesame oil in wok and saute shredded ginger until fragrant.
- Add in chicken thigh together with the sauce with extra 2 tbsp dark soy sauce and stir fry until aromatic.
- Add in 300ml water, boil and lower heat~cover~simmer for about 25-30 minutes.
- Lastly thicken with corn flour water and serve.
