Kielbasa With Red Cabbage And Broccoli Slaw
- 1 pound kielbasa pork, sliced on the diagonal
- 3 cups red cabbage shredded or chopped
- 1 yellow onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 cups broccoli slaw save time and find it precut in the store in the lettuce section, or matchstick-cut green cabbage, carrots, and broccoli
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- sea salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- Place the sliced kielbasa in a skillet and heat up on medium-high heat to brown on both sides. I like to cut the meat on the diagonal to give larger, flatter pieces. There's no need to cook this with any oil as the meat will release it's own oils and juice as it heats. Set aside once browned.
- In the same skillet without cleaning out the oils, throw in the onion and cabbage and cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and broccoli slaw and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the sausage into the veggie skillet, stir in the apple cider vinegar.
- Continue cooking until vegetables are tender.
