Meatloaf, Marietta-Style
- 1 1/2 pounds meatloaf mix, ground pork, beef
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg large uncooked
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 hard boiled eggs larges, peeled
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a loaf pan.
- Mix all ingredients, except hard-boiled eggs, in a large bowl.
- Spread half the meatloaf mixture into the bottom of the loaf pan. Position the hard-boiled eggs lengthwise in the center of pan, on top of the mixture. Gently push the eggs into the mixture, then cover with the remaining meat. Again, gently push the mixture evenly into the pan, making sure none of the egg is sticking out of the top.
