Old Fashion Macaroni 'N' Cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Cook macaroni in six cups boiling, salted water for 8 minutes.
  3. Drain and rinse under cold water. Meanwhile, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Stir in flour and cook, stirring 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, mustard, salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, whisking.
  6. Boil 1 minute.
  7. Remove from heat and whisk in cheeses until melted.
  8. Stir in macaroni.
  9. Pour into 2-quart baking dish.
  10. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter, stir in bread crumbs and sprinkle over macaroni.
  11. Bake 30 minutes.
  12. Makes 8 servings.
