Turkish Lentil Balls
- 1 5/16 cups lentils Turkish, boiled
- 1 piece seaweed kombu
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons self rising flour
- 3 tablespoons water
- 6 tablespoons grated cheese
- 6 tablespoons rolled oats
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 6 basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- sea salt
- olive oil
- Boil the Turkish lentils for 5 minutes with a piece of kombu seaweed (these are quick-cooking lentils), straining and processing.
- Apart saute onion and garlic finely chopped, added to processed lentils, chop the basil leaves and add along with the cumin.
- Add grated cheese, rolled oats, egg, mix the flour and water and add to the preparation of lentils.
- Salt, to form the balls and roll in the breaded.
- Cook in a little oil until golden brown, drain on paper towels.
