Maple Nut Baked Oatmeal

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0F.
  2. Spray a 9-inch square pan liberally with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Place the oats, milk, egg, melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, maple extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk to thoroughly combine.
  4. Finely chop the nuts. Add to the oat mixture and fold to distribute.
  5. Pour the oatmeal into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake the oatmeal for 45-50 minutes on the middle rack of oven, until golden-brown at the edges and firm in the center.
  7. Check to see that oatmeal is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
  8. Allow cooling for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with additional maple syrup, if desired.
