100% Whole Wheat Bread
- 1 cup Milk, Slightly Warmed
- 1 Egg
- 2-1/2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 2 teaspoons Kosher Or Coarse Salt
- 3 cups White Wheat Flour (or Regular Whole Wheat)
- 1-1/4 teaspoon Instant Or Bread Machine Yeast
- 2-1/2 Tablespoons Vital Wheat Gluten
- Place all ingredients, in the order listed, into your bread machine. Turn machine to dough setting and start.
- When the machine finishes, punch down the dough and turn it out onto the counter (you can lightly flour your counter if the dough is a touch sticky). Flatten the dough and pat it into a rectangle about the length of your loaf pan.
- Fold the bottom 1/3 of the rectangle up and then fold the top 1/3 down to slightly overlap at the middle seam. Pinch the seam a bit to seal. Flip it over and place it in the greased loaf pan.
- Cover with a light towel and allow the dough to rise in a warm place for 45 minutes, or until it is an appropriate "bread" size.
- Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375 F. Bake the risen loaf for 26-30 minutes or until nicely browned and it sounds hollow when you tap on it.
- Remove it from the pan to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
