Yummy Vidalia Onion Tart
- 1 package (15 Oz. Size) Ready-to-bake Pie Crust
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 8 cups Vidalia Onions, Sliced
- 1/4 cups Sweet Red Pepper, Diced
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 teaspoons Thyme Leaves, Crushed
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 cups Grated Or Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0F.
- Using a 10" tart pan with a removable bottom, or a 9" pie plate, follow the directions on the pie crust package, press pie crust in pan, flute edges if pie plate is used. Set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add onions, red peppers, salt, thyme, and black pepper. Cook and stir until onions are soft, about 12 to 15 minutes.
- Place onion mixture in pie crust. Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese. Bake until onions are crisp and golden, about 40 minutes.
- Garnish with sprig of fresh thyme. Serve immediately or at room temperature.
