Gingered Plum Crisp
- Filling
- 4 cups Pitted Plums
- 1/2 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Candied Ginger Finely Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Tapioca Starch
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons Ginger Powder
- Topping
- 1/2 cups White Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/2 cups Unbleached Flour
- 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 6 Tablespoons Earth Balance Butter Spread (or Butter)
- Preheat oven to 375
- Mix the first six ingredients in a bowl and pour into a greased 9" baking dish.
- Put all of the topping ingredients (the remaining four) in a food processor and pulse until the mixture starts to come together.
- Sprinkle the topping over the filling and bake for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown
- A little ice cream could be called for here....
