Sunrise Casserole
- 1 pound Ground Pork Sausage
- 1 whole Small Onion, Diced
- 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 8 slices Bread, Cubed
- 10 whole Eggs, Beaten
- 2 cups Shredded Cheese (any Kind)
- 2 cups Milk
- 1/2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Oregano (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook sausage, onion and garlic in skillet until no longer pink.
- Combine sausage, onion and garlic mixture with remaining ingredients and pour into a 9x13 glass casserole dish. (You can grease it if you want to, but it doesn't stick much.)
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 mins to an hour, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let rest for about 10 minutes before serving. GREAT with tortillas and salsa (or Tapatio if you like it spicy).
