Homemade Crockpot Apple Cider
- 4 sticks Cinnamon
- 10 whole Cloves
- 10 whole Cardamom Pods
- 1/4 bulbs Ginger
- 2 teaspoons Allspice
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 3 whole Granny Smith Apples
- 7 whole Honey Crisp Apples
- 3 whole Blood Oranges
- Place all spices (except allspice) in cheesecloth and place at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Peel ginger, cut into a few pieces and place at the bottom of the crockpot with the spices. Cover spice mixture with allspice, honey, and brown sugar.
- Cut apples and oranges and place in crockpot. Cover with water until it just covers the apples (about 8 cups).
- Place crockpot on low for 14 hours.
- Take out all apples and place into blender and puree. Meanwhile, place remaining liquid through a sifter into a large bowl to filter every ingredient but the remaining liquid. Then run the apple puree through the sifter as well.
- Taste and add more brown sugar to your liking. Serve!
