Brownies
- 14 oz. bag Kraft caramels
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 5 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1 stick melted margarine
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Combine remaining milk (approximately 1/4 cup), cake mix and melted margarine.
- Mix well.
- Press half the cake mixture onto the bottom of ungreased 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Bake at 350u0b0 for 6 minutes.
- Take out of oven.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and 1/4 cup walnuts over this layer.
- Drizzle caramel mixture over this.
- Top with teaspoonfuls of remaining cake mixture.
- Press gently into caramel mixture.
- Sprinkle with remaining walnuts. Bake at 350u0b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
- Cool slightly and then chill. Cut into squares and enjoy.
