Chocolate Blackberry Cobbler
- 2-1/2 cups Frozen Or Fresh Blackberries, Drained
- 1-1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cups Butter, Melted
- 1/4 cups Chocolate Chips
- Heat oven to 375
- Combine blackberries and 1 cup of sugar in a medium bowl. Incorporate well and set aside to macerate for 20 minutes.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Mix in milk and melted butter. Stir to combine.
- Pour batter into ungreased 8x8 pan. Spoon blackberry mixture over batter evenly.
- Spread chocolate chips over blackberries and sprinkle with a bit of sugar for crunch. Adjust chocolate chip measurement to fit your tastes, but don't add too many or it starts to overpower the blackberries.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes and allow to cool before eating.
