Chocolate Blackberry Cobbler

  1. Heat oven to 375
  2. Combine blackberries and 1 cup of sugar in a medium bowl. Incorporate well and set aside to macerate for 20 minutes.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Mix in milk and melted butter. Stir to combine.
  4. Pour batter into ungreased 8x8 pan. Spoon blackberry mixture over batter evenly.
  5. Spread chocolate chips over blackberries and sprinkle with a bit of sugar for crunch. Adjust chocolate chip measurement to fit your tastes, but don't add too many or it starts to overpower the blackberries.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes and allow to cool before eating.
