Granny Casserole
- 1 (1 lb.) pkg. wide egg noodles, cooked
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
- 1 (16 oz.) carton cottage cheese
- 1 Tbsp. green pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese (optional topping from Peggy)
- Mix cheeses, sour cream, pepper and onion using mixer while noodles are cooking.
- Brown ground beef; drain.
- Add tomato sauce. Cook about 8 minutes until not watery.
- Butter 2 medium casseroles or 1 large deep casserole.
- Put noodles in bottom; cheese layer next; use all (sauce mixture on top).
- May sprinkle Parmesan cheese or Mozzarella cheese on top of all.
- Bake at 350u0b0 about 30 to 40 minutes.
