Cinnamon French Toast Casserole

  1. - Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray;
  2. - Pour in the melted butter, and then add the brown sugar & 2 Tbsp of the maple syrup; Mix in pan until it can be spread evenly around the bottom of the pan;
  3. - Divide loaf of bread into half; cut half of the loaf into small cubes about 1" square and sprinkle evenly over the brown sugar-butter mixture;
  4. - Cut cream cheese into cubes, and sprinkle evenly over the bread cubes;
  5. - Top with remaining bread, also cut into cubes;
  6. - Whisk eggs, half & half, and remaining 1 Tbsp of maple syrup together; pour egg mixture evenly over the bread;
  7. - Covering the top with plastic wrap, press down gently to make sure all the bread has been coated with egg mixture;
  8. - Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight;
  9. - Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until gently browned & well set.
  10. - Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve;
  11. ***Prep time includes overnight in the refrigerator.
