Cinnamon French Toast Casserole
- 1/3 cups Butter, Melted
- 2/3 cups Brown Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 1 loaf Cinnamon Bread or Cinnamon Raisin Bread
- 1 package Cream Cheese (8 Oz.)
- 5 whole Eggs
- 1/4 cups Half-and-Half
- - Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray;
- - Pour in the melted butter, and then add the brown sugar & 2 Tbsp of the maple syrup; Mix in pan until it can be spread evenly around the bottom of the pan;
- - Divide loaf of bread into half; cut half of the loaf into small cubes about 1" square and sprinkle evenly over the brown sugar-butter mixture;
- - Cut cream cheese into cubes, and sprinkle evenly over the bread cubes;
- - Top with remaining bread, also cut into cubes;
- - Whisk eggs, half & half, and remaining 1 Tbsp of maple syrup together; pour egg mixture evenly over the bread;
- - Covering the top with plastic wrap, press down gently to make sure all the bread has been coated with egg mixture;
- - Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight;
- - Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until gently browned & well set.
- - Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve;
- ***Prep time includes overnight in the refrigerator.
