Popular Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2-1/2 sticks Butter Or Margarine, Softened
- 1-1/4 cup Firmly Packed Dark Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1-1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
- 4 cups Rolled Oats (prefer Old Fashioned, But Quick Will Work)
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1. Heat oven to 350F.
- In large bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy, add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
- Add combined flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix well.
- Mix in oatmeal one cup at a time. Fold in chocolate chips.
- 2. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- 3. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Cool 1 minute on sheet, then remove to cooling rack, cool completely. Store tightly covered.
