String Bean Casserole

  1. Saute onion in melted butter.
  2. When soft, add cream of mushroom soup.
  3. Add soup first, then fill can with 1/2 cup water. Stir and mix well, then pour into onion, margarine and mushroom soup.
  4. Drain beans.
  5. Make 2 layers.
  6. Put 1 can green beans in casserole dish.
  7. Add 1/2 of sauce of onion, margarine and mushroom soup.
  8. Add 1/2 cracker crumbs.
  9. Add 1/2 grated cheese.
  10. Repeat for second layer.
  11. Top with can of dried French fried onions.
  12. Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
