Fudge Sundae Pie

  1. Put evaporated milk, chocolate morsels, marshmallows and salt into heavy 1-quart saucepan.
  2. Stir over medium heat until chocolate and marshmallows melt completely and mixture thickens.
  3. Take off heat and cool to room temperature.
  4. Use a 9-inch pie pan.
  5. Fill with a graham cracker crust or line bottom and sides of pan with vanilla wafers.
  6. Spoon 1/2 of 1 quart vanilla ice cream over crust or wafers with 1/2 the chocolate mixture.
  7. Repeat with rest of ice cream, then chocolate.
  8. Top with chopped peanuts or pecans.
