Triple Berry Crumble

  1. Preheat your oven to 350u0b0F and spray a cast-iron skillet or 8x8 inch baking pan with a nonstick spray. Set aside.
  2. Begin by toasting the nuts: In a large dry skillet, combine the walnuts and the pecans. Turn the heat up to medium-low and toast the nuts until a nutty aroma fills the air and they begin to brown slightly, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  3. Prepare your filling. In a large mixing bowl, combine the berries, 1 cup granulated sugar, all-purpose flour and liqueur. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking vessel and set aside.
  4. Now prepare your topping. Combine the bread flour, the remaining 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, brown sugar, toasted chopped walnuts, toasted chopped pecans, butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and sea salt. Mix with a heavy wooden spoon until all is combined and the dough is "crumbly."
  5. Sprinkle the dough over the berry mixture and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
