Pretzels
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 4 c. flour or bread flour
- 1 tsp. light salt (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Egg Beaters, beaten (1/4 c.)
- nonfat cooking spray
- coarse salt
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in 1 1/2 cups warm water.
- Add 4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon sugar.
- Mix well.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the mixture well with your hands.
- Roll pieces of dough into any shape you like.
- Place them on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with a nonfat cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, beat Egg Beaters. Brush the tops of the dough with the Egg Beaters.
- Sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake the pretzels at 425u0b0 for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Yield:
- 18 big soft pretzels.
