Poke ‘N Pour Ginger Cake
- FOR THE CAKE:
- 2-1/4 cups Flour
- 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- 1/2 teaspoons Nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Cloves
- 3/4 cups Light Molasses
- 3/4 cups Vegetable Oil
- 3/4 cups Water
- 2 whole Eggs
- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 1/3 cups Water
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour bundt pan.
- Combine all cake ingredients; blend at low speed until moistened. Beat for three minutes at medium speed. Pour into prepared pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Remove cake from oven. Prick every inch deeply with a fork. In a small saucepan, heat topping ingredients until butter is melted. Spoon hot topping over hot cake. Cool upright in pan for 30 minutes; turn onto serving plate.
