Oriental Chicken Buns
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. grated ginger root
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 chicken breasts, boned and cubed
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/3 c. water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 can (10 oz.) Hungry Jack flaky biscuits
- sesame seed or poppy seed
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- Combine sugar, ginger, garlic and soy sauce in a medium skillet.
- Cook to boiling.
- Add chicken.
- Cook 3 to 4 minutes until chicken becomes opaque.
- Remove from heat. Remove chicken from ginger liquid.
- Combine cornstarch and water. Stir into the ginger liquid.
- Return to heat and heat to boiling, stirring continuously.
- Cook until clear and thickened.
- Stir in chicken, chestnuts and onion.
- Remove from heat.
- Cool 10 minutes.
