The Snuggle Loaf
- 2 cups White Flour
- 1/4 cups Castor Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/4 ounces, weight Yeast
- 5 Tablespoons Lukewarm Milk
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 Tablespoons Nutella
- 2 Tablespoons Roasted Hazelnuts
- 2 ounces, weight Chocolate, Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Icing Sugar
- First put the flour and the sugar in a bowl to make the base dough. Add a pinch of salt. Rub the butter into the mixture and start kneading until it resembles breadcrumbs.
- Put the yeast into the warm milk. Stir it and add to the dough, followed by the egg. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes. Then cover the bowl and put it somewhere warm to proof for 1 hour.
- When doubled in size, knead the dough again and split it into 2 halves. Roll both lumps into strips about 10x4 inches. Spread the Nutella down on the middle of each strip. Sprinkle the hazelnuts and the chopped chocolate on it. Roll up each rectangle, then twist both sausages around each other. Fatten it a little bit and let it rest again on a warm spot for another hour.
- Preheat the oven on 325u0b0F and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. While it's cooling down, use the icing sugar and a bit of water to create a thin glaze on top.
- Enjoy with a cup of hot tea on the sofa with a good movie!
