The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies. Ever.

  1. Combine Crisco, sugar, milk, and vanilla. Add egg. Mix well.
  2. In other bowl, combine flour, salt, and soda.
  3. Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and stir till just mixed, then fold in chips.
  4. With a medium size cookie scoop, (approximately 1/8 cup size) scoop onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  5. Bake at 375F for 8-10 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
  6. NOTE: I like to take these out at 8 minutes, and they will seem like they're not quite done. But if you let them cool on your cookie sheets , they will harden. Then let them finish cooling on wax paper on your counter top.
  7. To keep these tasting fresh, store in an airtight container in your freezer. (Another plus of storing them in your freezer is that you might be able to keep them in your kitchen for a little bit longer!)
  8. They are delicious when warmed slightly in the microwave.
