Thanksgiving At Church – Sage Dressing
- 3 cups Finely Chopped Celery (about 6-8 Ribs)
- 3 cups Finely Chopped Onion (about 2 Medium Onions)
- 2/3 cups Margarine
- 16 cups Dry Bread Cubes (2 Loaves)
- 3 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Sage
- 1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning (substitute Additional Sage/thyme/rosemary If You Do Not Have Poultry Seasoning)
- 1/4 cups Parsley, Finely Chopped (or 2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley)
- 1/2 cups Water
- 2 whole Eggs, Well Beaten
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
- In a skillet, cook celery and onion with margarine until tender and lightly browned. Add to bread cubes in a large roasting pan and sprinkle with seasonings; toss together well.
- Combine water and eggs; pour over bread mixture. Toss thoroughly. Cover and bake for 1 hour or till heated through.
