Jen’S Fudgy Brownies
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 4 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 3/4 cups Dutch Press Cocoa Powder
- 2 cups Semi-sweet Morsels
- 4 whole Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1 cup Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Grease a 13x9 baking dish.
- In a 3-quart saucepan, bring sugar, butter and water to a boil. Take off heat and add in vegetable oil, cocoa and morsels; stir until it melts. The mixture will get very thick and look like paste. Cool slightly.
- Add in eggs one at a time, beating until well blended after the addition of each egg.
- Stir in the vanilla, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt to the mixture.
- Add the chopped nuts (if using) and blend well.
- Pour mixture into greased pan, scraping the side of the saucepan with a spatula. Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
