Lavender Sugar Cookies
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 Tablespoons Lavender Flowers, Chopped
- 2 pinches Salt
- 2 sticks Butter, Softened
- 1/4 cups Granulated Sugar
- 5 Tablespoons Powdered Sugar
- 1 whole Egg, Mixed With 1 Tablespoon Cold Water
- 1/8 cups Sanding Sugar, To Coat Cookies
- Mix flour, lavender, and salt together. In a large bowl, beat butter until fluffy. Add sugars and mix well. Add the flour mixture and beat until combined. Divide dough and roll each half into a rope about 12 inches long (1-1/2" diameter). Wrap in plastic and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350F and line baking sheets with parchment. Unwrap the dough and brush with egg wash. Coat with sanding sugar. Slice 1/4" thick and place on sheets about 1" apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden brown on edges.
