Sugarless Apple Crisp
- 4 medium or 6 small peeled, sliced apples
- unsweetened apple juice
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar substitute
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. uncooked oats (quick or old fashioned)
- 2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable margarine
- Combine apples, apple juice, 1 tablespoon brown sugar substitute, lemon juice and spices.
- Toss lightly to coat apples. Layer apples on bottom of 8-inch square glass baking dish.
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Combine oats, nuts and second tablespoon of brown sugar substitute.
- Add margarine and stir well.
- Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake about 30 minutes or until apples are tender and the topping is lightly browned.
- Serve warm or chilled.
- Makes 4 servings.
